FULL TITLE: Female shooter kills three and injures seven in morning shooting at Rite Aid warehouse in Maryland business park before being taken to hospital in critical condition
Three people have died and eight others are injured after a shooting at a Rite Aid warehouse in Aberdeen, Maryland, after a woman opened fire this morning.
The shooting took place in the Liberty Building on Thursday at 9.09am where around 30 people work.
It is part of a larger center where around 1,000 are employed.
WBAL-TV, a local network in Maryland, reports that the shooter is a woman who is now in hospital.
Police have refused to confirm anything other than that 'multiple' people are dead and 'multiple' are injured.
At a press conference on Thursday, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler said the shooter was in a critical condition.
They used a handgun to carry out the attack.

A source close to the investigation said the woman was a disgruntled employee. She shot herself in the head in an apparent suicide attempt, but was unsuccessful so she shot herself again, the source said.
Supposed to suicide first, then murder. /S
I know of one failed shooting suicide who, attempting to deflect the blame for his incompetence, supposedly said “Well, the sights were off, man.”

And no one on site with a concealed weapon to stop the shooter. I find it noteable that the police say they responded and were on-site in 5 minutes. That is a VERY LONG time. Five minutes. I suspect a shooter can fire 17- or more round magazine in 15 seconds, change magazines, repeat. That’s 34+ rounds per minute. Five minutes and that is 170 rounds. They could even stop after 2-3 minutes and leave, then be several minutes down the road before the police arrive. Bottom-line is police response is nice but no substitute for someone with a gun to defend themselves while they are still alive.
When seconds counts, the police are minutes away.
I love the justification for camo so they don’t stand out against the backdrop of a convenience store.
