" Abortion, liberal Americas favorite pastime, is under threat."
That's not what Democrats are most concerned about. Consider what we've learned about the desires of their most influential (wealthy) constituents. What do *they* want?
* They want more authority and control against presidents like President Trump, and for decades, they've been striving toward doing so through judicial officers (judges, lawyers, police agencies,...). The lawsuits and activist judges' orders against our President's decisions are piling up now, and they're out to get him personally through the courts.
* They want hundreds of millions of more slaves from corrupt countries.
* They want to disarm the populace.
* They want to get around more constitutional rights in order to control us.
In general, they want more control over government and the populace. Justices like Brett Kavanaugh would get in their way. Unlike some of the other justices presented as being judicially conservative (that is, honest about the intents behind the Constitution) and later showing themselves to be subjective or philosophically weak, Judge Kavanaugh will most likely remain objective, firm in his integrity and not be swayed.
The stakes are high. If the confirmation is not properly completed, we may be heading toward economic and societal collapse very soon.

The left wants to nullify the vote whenever they don’t like the outcome.

The stakes are high. If the confirmation is not properly completed, we may be heading toward economic and societal collapse very soon. This isn't directed exclusively at you, familyop, but I'm really growing weary of all the prognostications of collapse over this scandal or that one. Americans aren't going to do much of anything about any of this.
Despite these being truly grievous and disconcerting real life events, most Americans see this stuff as memes or reality theater. We've become so disconnected as a species that the political ruling classes know they can rule how they please with little more than some loud barking from those who are concerned but have little power to do anything about it.
