‘If something does not stop the current rot in our controlling institutions’

well, since God allowed it to happen, shouldn’t He be the one to stop it...?

When God “stops” men from doing something in judgment it is always much worse for them that if they stop it. Especially compared to if they actually repent.

This kinda mirrors a thread over at Hannity where some guy asked why doesn’t YHVH just deal with Satan.

I tried to point out that if He did then He would also deal with all those other rebels, including men, who are following Satan’s example.

I further brought up something Paul speculatively asked — posing the question of what if God endured vessels of wrath to have vessels of glory — in relation to this judgment and Revelation.

The short, short version is: by judging those who will never repent now in that way it would also cut off the time for those who will be saved to repent.

In essence, what Paul wrote of might be described as an expediency: so long as there are vessels of glory yet to be it is expedient to not judge those of wrath. It isn’t that they don’t matter but in comparison they don’t matter nearly enough.

I personally think that about the time that the two witnesses in Revelation are slain by the AC and their bodies are put on display for three days as the world parties that that will be the last window when some, who have never taken the MotB of course, to realize what’s happening and repent. They will probably quite literally be the very last people who ever could or ever would repent in Christ’s name in this age if the Lord didn’t quickly act in judgment at that point, and so the possible expediency that Paul wrote of is no longer expedient ... and Christ returns.

Everyone who has taken the MotB is killed (the AC and FP are thrown into the LoF). Among those who didn’t take the mark the proverbial goats are separated from the sheep. Satan is bound.

This was my best effort to answer the question.

Next predictably came folks picking at some bits like they were playing Jenga but who am I that anyone should think dealing with me is them dealing with the issue?

Still, Christ has been attributed (Luke 18 IIRC) to wonder if He’d find faith when He returned. It’s best if men repent rather than wait it out.

God lets us do a lot of stupid things while warning us not to do them. Surely He will fix them, probably not to your liking (think Flood or Sodom) but fix them He will.
