I don’t know exactly what Norm Macdonald meant when he suggested Me Too has “slowed down.” But there’s some truth to his basic observation, and Joe Biden surfaced this week to remind us all why much of the public is less inclined to share the media’s boundless enthusiasm for the movement.
Let’s first note that the great champions of women gathered at the Emmys on Monday dared not utter a direct word about Les Moonves (as flagged by Howard Stern). Had the allegations against him made their way into the New Yorker earlier in Me Too’s forceful first year, that may have been different. Whether the silence was rooted in cowardice or prudence, I won’t speculate. But it was deafening.
Here’s Biden this week, reflecting on the allegations against Justice Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh: “For a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus, nationally, you’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not it’s been made worse or better over time.”

I think you and I are the only ones who use that word. One of the main reasons Hillary lost was that while she was ranting against misogyny, she was exposing her own misandry. Most guys don’t know what it means, but they know it when they see it.

“me too” was the permission to various hysterics to invent and “remember” assault by men. It provided a background for accusations against Trump and Kavanaugh.
It’s war, guys, and the Republicans don’t know it. They are acting as if the other side were honest and fair.
In politics it's already assumed Republican/Conservative men are always guilty.

I started using that word about two years ago. Interestingly, most internet based spell checkers always flagged it as misspelled because the word was not even in their dictionary. They are better now but try it here.

I post on a lot of youtube videos on this Kavanaugh thing. My favorite is to troll leftists on the CNN and MSNBC videos. I use those words constantly. And it is quite on purpose.

Yes. I’ve been doing the same thing. I have a pretty good vocabulary because I’m a lawyer. Never heard the word though until I got curious if there was a male counterpart to “misogyny” during the Clinton campaign. Virtually every time she opened her mouth, she was trashing men. Yet she apparently had no clue that men were listening and could tell what she was doing.
