The elusive McConnell needs to show his turtle face and take charge. He’s a dolt generally, but he’s actually been pretty good when it comes to SCOTUS issues.
They are afraid of the liberal suburban women, some of whom occasionally vote for Republican candidates.
A 60 minutes interview when she demanded to be able to testify under oath is certainly going to bring out the red voters.
A new Court term begins the first Monday in October. This year that is Oct. 1. I think they don’t want Kavanaugh confirmed by then, so he won’t be on the Court.
I don’t know if that would disqualify him to hear cases this term or not.
It’s the only thing he’s been good on. So he needs to get going again!
They are playing for the mid term Blue Wave. Nope, the polling data shows only 25 percent of the public believe her.

I’ve read something about him needing confirmed before Oct. 30th, or he couldn’t hear cases, but Gorsuch was confirmed in April, and was hearing cases out of the gate. Tuck got this one wrong. IMHO, Grassley should have held fast, and had the votes cast Thursday.
Justice Kennedy is on “senior status,” and is still available for part-time duty on lower federal courts, but he’s gone for good from SCOTUS.

I don’t know, I only heard it here. It certainly seems like a step down and she will look ridiculous.
That explains why she requested Thursday.

Grassley knows this. He isn't stupid. I pray he has the courage to stick to his original statement. If he does, this charade is over.
They should stop being afraid. The midterms are still 5+ weeks out. Confirming Kavanaugh wont have nearly the same impact then as it is now.
