I should have been specific

Yes Thomas was sent to floor without neutral or negative or positive referral

The committee chair asked for a floor vote without the committee first voting

Grassley and Mitch can do thst if they have 50 votes

Pence can tie break

And three of four times that a nominee has gotten a floor vote with no vote from the judiciary committee first that nominee was confirmed

And yes that’s Clarence

Kavanaugh can only spare one GOP SENATOR. And still get confirmed

Flake

Corker

The Estrogen Twins who vote alike....Collins and Murkowski

But, as it stands now. He gave the accuser additional time (24 hrs? , IDK) to decide if she shall testify. The vote is still on the docket, scheduled for Monday morning.

If she decides that she will testify, then Chuck will cancel Monday’s vote and schedule a hearing where they both shall testify, followed by a vote.

Is there any required time delay after a hearing which must precede the vote?

IOW, it’s possible for this to happen: Testify Wednesday...Vote on Thursday....Sworn in Friday....SCOTUS session begins Monday Oct 1.
