It’s a kangaroo court.
Understand, this is not about Christine Blasey Ford. She’s a tool — a quite willing tool, but a tool all the same. This is not even about the eminently qualified federal circuit-court judge Brett Kavanaugh — it would be no different regardless of which nominee President Trump selected in consultation with White House counsel Don McGahn, the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation, and the rest of the originalist, conservative legal community come of age. Democrats do not want a model of constitutional fidelity and judicial restraint elevated to the Supreme Court. End of story.
And who can blame them? Republicans did not want the eminently qualified federal circuit-court judge Merrick Garland to be elevated to the Supreme Court.
But the Left has turned the High Court into an über-legislature for imposing on the country the social-justice-warrior policy agenda that they cannot ride to victory at the ballot box. The Supreme Court is arguably just as vital to them as winning the White House, because justices often outlast even two-term presidencies by a factor of four or five.
Democrats are willing to use any tactics to block conservatives from the Supreme Court and seat their own ideologues. The question is not “Fair or unfair?” It’s “Will it work?” Republicans always seem flat-footed in response because they underestimate how far Democrats are willing to go to win, how willing they are to destroy people’s reputations if that’s what it takes. Republicans keep thinking it’s 1987 and the Bork debacle was the worst of it; in reality, we’re 30 years on, and the Bork debacle was just the beginning of it.
Maybe Chairman Grassley and his colleagues will figure that out on Thursday. Or is it the next Thursday? Or the day after the midterms? . . .

Yes, you can-- if the gentlemanly or chivalrous or kind actions are exactly what the accuser demanded.
Ford and her lawyers are making complete asses out of themselves -- in a very public way. Why interrupt them and save them from themselves?
I'd consider him a great source of information from a LEGAL standpoint, but wouldn't take him at face value for his assessment of the POLITICAL implications of a process like this.

The damned Democrats NEVER QUIT. They retreat, and attack from a different angle. Their downfall every time is they use the same ARMY. At least some of our side gets it. Now we only need those we elect to govern to get it.

I see only media adulation for the “heroic” woman Ford who speaks truth to power. Those gut churning ads of “I believe you” are so odious (like the “Hamilton electors” urged by celebs to not vote their states’ electoral college choice).
Right now we must get Kavanaugh on the Court. Let the PR chips fall and we can recover before the midterms, God willing. Maybe a lot of males will secretly vow to vote GOP and say screw the “males are guilty sex offenders unless proven innocent” stuff.
Why do you suppose that is? I'm thinking Kavanaugh IS going to be confirmed, with or without this "testimony". So why do it?
Could it be to get Ford in front of the Senate to discredit her whole story? I'm sure the whole Kavanaugh family would like to see this lie put to rest. His reputation is on the line. He should get his justice.
Imagine, if they didn't discredit it and Kavanaugh goes on the bench. This charge will be an asterisk on every story involving him, right up to and after the day he dies. We all know the charge is a lie so why let it live?
Also, I believe in playing this, it will "out" other players in this deceitful act besides Ford and Feinstein.
Grassley doesn't seem to be worried. Trump doesn't seem to be worried. I'm not going to worry either. Kavanaugh WILL BE Confirmed!
I would love for Jeff Sessions to be a Supreme Court Justice.
He would make consistently Constitutional rulings.
His appointment would also allow for someone else to be the Attorney General.
That articles says what needs to be said. Every hour of delay is affording the Democrats enormous amounts of money and messages to sway the very few ambiguous senators.

Again....there is NO agreement on her testifying. Her Atty made this big public pronouncement that she will to be there Thursday.
The media is banging their drums saying there is an agreement but there is NONE.

Booker will be back. He isn’t done yet, and besides Booker hasn’t a damned thing to do with this topic. His was regarding a different hoax. He’s holding back while this Ford/Kavanaugh hoax is in the spotlight. He’ll be back when they need his hoax once again.
