To an engineer like me, the biggest hole in her story is that he allegedly locked her in the room. I don’t know of a single governing body whose building code for residential dwellings would allow the installation of a lock on an interior door that cannot be opened from the INSIDE. This would be an egregious violation of even a half-assed fire code.

She did allege that. But that does not imply a dead-bolt, pocket the key scenario, which would have been a code violation. It only means the boys locked the door from the inside (and turned up the stereo) to keep from being interrupted. IOW, it would have kept her from being rescued from outside the bedroom, but would not have prevented her escaping, should she manage to reach the door.

Which is what she alleges she did. She said he was on top of her trying to take her one-piece off and holding his hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming. Then her assailant's friend supposedly jumped on them, causing them to topple onto the floor, from which she got up and ran across the hall, locking herself from the inside in a bathroom. Then her two assailants "loudly stumbled down the stair well at which point other persons at the house were talking with them. I exited the bathroom, ran outside of the house and went home."

For her story to be true (for pick your assailants), the BAC of the two guys must have been substantial. But no code violations are necessary.

Plagiarizing this for Twitter. Brilliantly obvious!

Not the least to say that it was stupid..How would they “lock themselves in” when they were all inside? Doesn’t make any sense at all.. none of this does.

I agree. But, then again, maybe the homeowner was a perv, and was into holding young girls captive. You know, like that weirdo in Ohio or Pennsylvania that kept those women confined in his basement for years. I mean, we ARE talking about Washington, D.C. here.

That was the first obvious lie about the room

Marina Oswald used the same statement about locking Lee in the bathroom so he would not kill Nixon.

This is the best the FBI can do.
