I have read that after Thursday it’s hard to get a new scotus on the court for October,so the clock is ticking.

A new name for the court would be impossible, which is why this one must be landed now. By Thursday, apparently.

FYI, Gorsuch joined proceedings the next day. Different circumstances and timing.
