Cody Wilson, the public voice and face of Defense Distributed, is in serious legal trouble.
Cody Wilson has a warrant for his arrest, signed by a judge in Texas. Wilson is said to be in Taiwan, and may stay there depending on the outcome. The warrant is based on credible evidence that Cody Wilson paid for sex with a 16-year-old woman. It is unknown if Wilson has been legally served. It seems unlikely.
Cody Wilson has been a thorn in the side of those who want a disarmed population for the last six years. His exploits with 3D printed guns and the organization he founded in Defense Distributed has been making history and winning where it counted. He has out-foxed and out fought his opponents over the last six years. He has made them look like fools.
I have met Cody a few times. He struck me as very smart. The last couple of times he was with a young woman who seemed to be in a serious, long-term relationship with him. I did not notice any wedding rings.
There are obvious questions about whether this encounter was encouraged by the many enemies Cody has made. If so, they did a much better job with this honey trap than the current Democrat mob has been able to do with Judge Kavanaugh. Here are some of what is alleged in the warrant as of this writing.

I’ve heard two totally different stories on this one:
1. She was 16 - illegal
2. She was 17 - legal. Still prostitution, but in Texas apparently 17 is the age of consent
This story says 16, but I get the feeling very powerful forces are swirling around this one.

And 17 doesn’t matter, she is still a minor (under the age of 18) and meeting minors for sex on the internet is a felony as well. Plus you can still be charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which applies to anyone under the age of 18.

First, it is sad that anyone needs a prostitute. Discussion on the whys and moral implications is a different thread.
Second, that said, the only way this little hooker came forward is that she was a snitch for some cop in Travis County and was pressured into making a complaint. This is clearly a vendetta paid for by the make citizens into subjects crowd.
Finally, the affidavit shows that there was a concerted effort in Travis County to get Cody Wilson long before he stepped into it.
BTW, they do make great 3D printers in Taiwan. Perhaps he can get his plans included as a demo package on the imports.

Technology will always change and improve, CNC machines are getting cheaper, 3D Printers are getting better. I am not even arguing that you can’t have the designs or even make the designs. I just don’t look at this guy as any sort of hero or crusader because the case would have taken place regardless of Cody’s involvement.
This 16 y.o. female? All this was legal for her but not for him?
