Yeah - even Jesus stayed away from those who weren't already pure because they were too much work to preach the Good News and about God's love for all His children....oh, wait.....
The Bible gives us instructions on how to deal with people claiming to “be a brother/sister” but living in and promoting sin. These are like the Pharisees in the Bible, men claiming to be holy but working wickedness. Those, Jesus did rebuke. Here are 3 quick examples, but there are many verses concerning this subject:
But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 1 Cor. 5:11
As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. Titus 3:10-11
As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. 1 Timothy 5:20
Nope. This would be the equivalent of Jesus saying to sodomites, “That’s great, that’s wonderful. Keep doing what you’re doing. I applaud everything you do.” But then, you know that was my point.
