Republicans never push back so naturally the Dems keep ratcheting up their tactics to ever more outrageous stunts. They have no reason to respect or fear the GOP.
Its just not in them to stand up for anything. They have no convictions. They are professional politicians who lie, dissemble and betray their voters. Whatever it takes to keep their seats.
Beyond that, they don’t care.
That only works if McConnell cooperates and actually recesses the Senate; so far he hasn't and has kept the Senate in pro forma session.

Moore gave such an awful, convoluted performance in that interview that he torpedoed his own campaign right there on the spot.
Let's face it, people -- that guy wasn't ready for prime time.
I'll tell you something else about Moore: He would have been the least reliable Republican vote in the U.S. Senate right now if he had won.

I’d love for Grassley to wait until Thursday, and state: “Dr. Ford, we have identified several different Democrat funders that have promised to pay you $XXXXXXX for your testimony here. Their names are XXXXXX, XXXXXX, and XXXXX. This was revealed to us by a certain gentleman that provided us with a recorded discussion featuring you and Mr. Feinstein in which you generate the story you have prepared for us. Would you like to change your story before we continue under oath?”

McConnell is only Majority Leader because he is a weak leader who gives progressive Republicans free range to roam. Contrast that to the Democrats who vote party line on all the big issues: tax cuts, obamacare repeal, etc.
I think the last six jobs didn’t get national attention.
We have a President of the United States who didn't even bother refuting allegations against him -- probably because most of them were true.
