An IG fell into disrepute, too many botched matters made it to the media. Once reported, the rumors began to swirl he was going to be fired. At a late thursday afternoon staff meeting, 4PM, he began the meeting saying I am aware of the rumors and he banged the table saying he will go when he is ready to do so.
8AM the next day he was not present and I guess decided he was ready.
