If the GOP will be slaughtered in November, then that will happen regardless of whether or not they confirm Kavanaugh. The damage is already done, if there’s actually been any. Which I do not believe.
That would be fair. But refusing to vote for ANY Republican because you don’t like the choice of one or two specific Republicans would not be sensible, yet that’s the premise of this thread.
For decades the Republicans have let themselves get shoved into this corner.... they get no more do-overs, they have NO MORE wiggle room

THIS that we are living through now is the endgame of the #metoo movement - to destroy the ability of men to obtain power, because even the attempt will ruin them professionally and personally (with truth having literally NOTHING to do with the effect of such charges). We see that they are NOT doing a Judge Thomas on Kavanaugh - that involved only 1 accuser, and they blew that one (thanks in no small part to Thomas’ actual integrity and also his grit); no, now the tactic is what they did to Roy Moore - hit their target from every direction, with multiple similar attacks. The multiple accusations give credibility to each other (the “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” syndrome), and make it impossible to defend against (or damned near so).
This stuff HAS to be stopped dead in its tracks, NOW. Failure to do this will let the Mazie Horono’s of the world run things - “Men should shut up and stand aside.” No, no, FOREVER NO to that state of affairs. This is like the Inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials - mere accusations are deemed truth and proof, in and of themselves. This turns our entire society (not merely our judicial system) on its head. It is mob rule...but a mob that is controlled like a puppet on strings. Oh, and we have a good idea of who the puppet-master is - George Soros’ filthy fingerprints are all over this.
Pray for Kavanaugh and for his family. Let them be strong in the face of these false accusations and this demonization. I cannot imagine the horror that their lives have become, and this entire BS controversy will forever be attached to this good man.
No. There will not be a ground swell of votes for the Democrats if Kavanaugh is shot down but the Republican voters will reflect on the truism that “we cant beat them.” They will stay home because they will see no reason to vote for representatives and senators to represent the Chamber of Commerce. The Republicans take the House and the Senate but then meekly defer to the Democrat Rulers.
They are throwing Christians to the lions again in DC. This is no different than the Roman Colosseum.

There are 51 Reps in the Senate. If they stick together, it won't matter how many women come forward with unsubstantiated stories. Where are the facts and evidence and witnesses. If all it takes is woman after woman to come forward with allegations, then the Reps will not be able to confirm anyone.
