WHY in the the world do you think they are safe?? If we ALL get the same result with or without the Dems in control WHY wouldn’t our side just stay home????

And if anything, you could make the case that the silver lining in the Republicans getting wiped out in November, is that it would purge the party of a good number of scum.

Some will. But, by and large everyone thinks its EVERYONE ELSE'S senator and congresscritter rather than there own. They never throw their own out in the primaries...or rarely do. Ask Kentucky. Ask Iowa. Ask any number of states. And if they do, democrats cross over to vote them back in as independents.
Let it collapse and let's start over. It's pretty obvious right now we can never see eye to eye again....and it is VERY obvious that within 20 years or so we probably will never have another GOP majority in the house or senate or another GOP president. Once Texas goes blue because the spineless GOP won't stop illegals (because they want cheap labor)...it's over.
It's silly to throw out Ted Cruz and other conservatives for the sins of Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. But, it is imperative that any Republican failing to vote for Kavanaugh lose his or her job.
