Do I have bad dreams about that place. I was drafted Nov. 22nd, 1965. Boarded a bus in Philadelphia, headed to Ft. Jackson. I had my first Thanksgiving dinner there. Talk about a bummer. From there, went to Ft. Gordon for Basic.

my wife went to Basic Training there in ‘80. Her words “I loved it!”
I personally did Basic at Fort Leonard Wood in ‘86 and if I never come within 100 miles of that place again I will be very thankful.
