(Sigh!) They stop teaching Latin in schools and this is what we get, the freaking leftist Dark Ages. I was a lousy latin student, but from:
“Renate Alumnus” It sounds like “Reborn as a Graduate”, or “Reborn a Student”.
Did he graduate that year? Did he take latin? (A Catholic with a future in Law?)
He was celebrating his graduation, he was reborn as a Graduate and passing into adulthood. Nothing to do with the girl I think. If anyone knows the resident FR Latin specialist please refer this to him or her to confirm my feeble translation.
