Manchin will not vote to confirm Kavanaugh if there is a single Republican voting against confirmation.
1) Not showing you hand allows you the aura of "objectivity" and the opportunity to say you "listened carefully to both sides before my vote." Senators love this self-stroking of their own ego.
2) Some of them want something. A deal. A sweetener. In the case of Flake, it might mean that he wants a guarantee that he won't be prosecuted for his crimes (and yes, Flake is a criminal).
My President, Donald Trump has spoken highly of this man. If the GOP does not back him, I will never vote for them again. President Trump, I am with you. Georgia House and Senate members, if you do not back my Presidet’s nominee, I will vote against you.

I know Flake isn’t running again so I have been worried about him. He really HATES POTUS and I can see him voting no unless he’s worried about what may happen when he goes back into the real world where the deplorables live. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up indicted for something because he sure did remind me of Linda Blair in the Exorcist after Pres. Trump was elected.

Notice how Donnelly, Manchin and Heitkamp aren’t mentioned anywhere. Kavanaugh is going to be seated, just a question of when.

I think Collins will be a yes vote. Murkowski, don’t know what her game is. My perspective of Alaskans is that they’re pretty conservative but maybe not, don’t know. Flake, he suffers from terminal Trump derangement syndrome. Being controlled by a dead McCain.
I would not want to be the Repub who votes him down. You would be hated at every Repub event you attend.
