Most of the writers today were not alive during the Mau-Mau years and probably were never taught this in high schrool so they would thiMk that he said mow-mowed.

I was alive then, and I remember the Mau Mau uprising in Kenya, as well as the slaughter of the Christian missionaries in Leopoldville in the Congo (now called Zaire).
