Report: Trump Thinks Grassley Badly Handling Kavanaugh Accuser’s Demands
Breitbart ^ | 24 Sep 201868 | JOSHUA CAPLAN

President Donald Trump is none too pleased with how Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) is handling demands made by attorneys for Christine Balsey Ford, the California psychology professor who is scheduled to testify Thursday about her decades-old sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a new report says. According to the Washington Post, President Trump believes Grassley has been “too accommodating” towards Ford, and he has grown tired of the professor’s legal team “getting their way” when it comes to setting the terms of their client’s testimony.

As Breitbart News reported, the chairman late Saturday evening granted yet another extension to Ford’s legal team to reply to a request that the accuser testify before lawmakers Wednesday. The following day, Ford’s legal team convinced members of Grassley’s staff to allow their client to appear before the panel on Thursday. The tentative agreement came after lawyers for Ford accused the Republicans of being “fundamentally inconsistent with the committee’s promise of a fair, impartial investigation into her allegations.”

“In private talks, Trump has targeted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Grassley for criticism, complaining that they have not been forceful enough in speeding up the process and have been too deferential to Ford’s attorneys, according to two people familiar with Trump’s concerns,” the Post reports.

“two people familiar with Trump’s concerns.”

Why are these “sources” OK here but fake news everywhere else?

The talks were private.

I guess the GOP-e book “Art of the Cave” wasn’t a best seller.

Because this particular leak needs to be passed on to the feckless, spineless, clueless Grassley, who is allowing Katz to walk all, over him.

I agree. First I thought this was fake stuff to stir up internal issues where there is no unified efforts. Then I saw it was Breitbart. Hate anonymous sources no matter where they lie. Private conversations should be private in almost all matters.

Can’t he call up these guys??? I mean, what is the point of being the president if you can’t call up these guy and tell them what you think they need to do. It confuses me. Other presidents have had this right to persuade.

We have a SOCTUS nominee being mocked by assholes because he was forced to admit that he was a virgin past college in order to defend himself from vile and obscene filth spewed at him from vile and obscene people.

And that same SCOTUS nominee is being threatened with having his penis cut off by some dickwad late night “comedian”.

Thanks, Chuck, you are as awesome as stepping in wet dog crap with bare feet.

“You have sat too long here for any good...”

Wow. That really nails it. Apropos to most of our sitting senators.

It’s fine for DJT to criticize Grassley; it puts great pressure on the committee.

However, Grassley’s job is to get the weak-kneed Republicans on the committee to vote for Kavanaugh. He is being careful to handle the allegations and “allegator” carefully.

I’m betting she’ll back out from testifying and they will vote for Kavanaugh.

Yeah.

None of these anonymous BS.

CNN should not use it, and neither should conservative sites.

President Trump is frustrated although he's likely seen this with other weak men in his long career.

Whether you're a little league coach, a reading circle moderator or a U.S. Senator, when you're put in charge of something ... take charge! ... Lead! It ain't hard to understand!

The President is correct. Grassley’s appeasement is only viewed by the Leftists as a sign of weakness.

And the left (fake news) will be outraged no matter. Those mean right-wingers bullied her into silence.

This bit of “news” presents an interesting dichotomy for all of us who have been following events.

Either the news is fake, and as Q has posted, “Trust Grassley”, or Q was in error to tell us to trust Grassley. It cannot be both.

Place your bets.

“Privately, Pres Trump has targeted Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Judiciary's Grassley for criticism,
complaining that they have not been forceful enough in speeding up the process and have been too deferential
(and accommodating) to Ford’s attorneys,” the Post reports.

Trump needs to remind Republicans, the ONLY reason for this farce is so Democrats can get back into power.

Trump should tell Republicans to quit reading from the Democrats' midterm script. Remind them they are on a different team.

Did Pubbies notice that Ford and her lawyers have made all sorts of nuanced demands,
nit-picking demands that only someone worried about being caught lying (pejuring herself) would make?

Since this accuser is not directly involved in politics, Pubbies can safely assume Ford's "Perjury Trap Blues"
is being orchestrated by the Dems' political apparat.....insiders like Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, the DNC, and other midterm dreamers.

Trump needs to ride herd on Grassley, McConnell and the rest.
