This attack-Kavanaugh thing is about the mid-terms, most immediately.
Obviously the liberals are scared about the Supreme Court long-term. They know that RBG will likely not continue at her current rate of decline.
And just what are we getting? It's not that I don't agree with you, but I just don't see what we're getting if Kavanaugh doesn't go through.
Pubbies are more or less boxed in. They HAVE to vote yes, even if they are wobbly about it. The repercussions of doing anything else are simply too great.

We all have an obligation to have Trump’s back 24/7 regardless. President Trump certainly has proven he has ours!! Look at the 24/7 crap he takes from the Marxist Left. We don’t hear him whining and crying about it. He gets up every damn day and fights for us. And, we’re gonna stay home? No way in hell is what I say. I would walk over broken glass to support Donald J. Trump, General Mattis General Kelly, Mike Pompeo, John Bolton. We don’t see any of these patriots staying out of the fight.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Kavanaugh becomes a rabid conservative on the court after this.
Two-thirds of the Senate would be required to convict the President. That won’t happen.
But if Republicans won’t confirm Kavanaugh, every Supreme Court justice from now on will be a leftist. The one good administration will be powerless. The legislature is already worthless, socialist, and worst of all, feminist.
