FYI: 80 percent of French mustard is made from seed from the good old USA.

I don’t use alcohol and love Wisconsin cheeses.

France, you lose.

This may sound kinda dumb, but I have come full circle regarding mustard. I thought the “gourmet” mustards were so cool a few decades ago and always thumbed my nose at the “bright yellow” stuff for kids.

Then one day, just about a year ago, I was having hot dogs with the grandkids at the fire pit and all we had was the bright yellow stuff. I realized that I PREFER it to the “fancy” brands.

Apparently those who created it in the first place knew what they were doing.

i came really close in adding to my post that we already make better Brie and other cheese than a lot of the cheese from france, and that we make just as fine of wines, in many cases even better than much of the wine from france ...

We can do without their perfume, wine and cheese. I can’t think of any other reason to do business with them; we don’t need a surrogate to surrender to anyone.

Since I buy good old American made, as well as imported ( yes, I really like mustard, any types of mustards ) German and French mustards, I'm already doing my bit for American grown mustard seeds and shall give up the French kind.

But thanks for letting me know that interesting fact about mustard seeds.
