Democrats likely wanted another person of color since they won with a black man and lost with an old white woman of privilege.

However, they may get pragmatic and realize the only way to beat a white man, Trump, with with another white man, Biden.

That’s true. Also the wrong age and the wrong sex. But that only matters when he’s in the primaries. Once he’s in the general (if he makes it) he will accumulate all of the disgruntled Republicans and Independents and they don’t care what his age sex or color might be.
