WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he could withdraw his support for Brett Kavanaugh depending on the testimony in a high-profile Thursday hearing into multiple accusations of sexual misconduct against the Supreme Court nominee.
Trump defended Kavanaugh, now a federal appeals court judge, at a New York news conference, but the presidents comments injected another note of uncertainty into Kavanaughs already troubled bid for a lifetime appointment to the nations highest court.
You know, believe it or not, Im going to see whats said at the hearing, Trump told reporters.
A third woman has accused Kavanaugh of aggressive sexual behavior in the 1980s. The nominee has vehemently denied all of the allegations ahead of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing coming up on Thursday where one of his accusers, Christine Blasey Ford, will also testify to senators.
Trump dismissed the allegations against Kavanaugh as a big fat con job orchestrated by Democrats. He did not say that Kavanaughs female accusers were lying.
I can always be convinced, Trump said. It will be interesting to hear what she has to say.

More fake news.
Film at 11.
The headline in no way reflects the body of the article.1
FAKE NEWS! I listened to the set up question and the corrupt media got the quote they wanted especially if they took it out of context as they mostly do. The question was is there ANY possibility you could withdraw support, the obvious answer for anyone is YES if Ford provides evidence.
So the media runs with the headline “Trump wavering, might pull support” - FAKE again.
I guess PDJT does not see all of this for what it is......utter BS lies from the left that will keep getting marched out. He will never hear the end of the lies unless he withdraws his nomination
“Trump dismissed the allegations against Kavanaugh as a big fat con job orchestrated by Democrats.”
Yep, literally went weak in the knees didn’t he?
So now they have pinned their hopes on Trump withdrawing the nomination.
I’m starting to feel like us conservatives and Trump supporters are in a prison with a psycho gang that’s always threatening violence and always screaming at you that “we’re gonna get ya!!! We’re GONNA GET YA!!!”
And the threat goes on and on and on 24/7, and we can never get away from it or them.
I’m frankly getting tired of it.
It’s Reuters’ site and their headline. It’s not a Reuters article in some other publication with the other publication’s headline.
My Dad used to say, “Film at 11,” all the time growing up. You are officially the only other person I have heard say this (write)
One huge rope-a-dope - a con job to expose a deep state radical leftist con job.
What Trump said (and Rooters is SURELY capable of understanding him) is that if any PROOF surfaced that the allegations were true he would be willing to withdraw.
Well, Duh! ANYONE would withdraw a nominee if the things being alleged could be proven true.
The fact is there’s not a whiff of proof in any of this.
I’ll be a lot nicer than other folks here but uh... he certainly does see what it is and this was his response at a press conference
I’m not getting tired of it. If a 70 plus year old man can take it with great strength and aplomb, so can I.
We cannot be wussies.
exactly, corrupt media and more fake anti Trump hateful lies.
Impeach!
It doesn't matter what he does, the lies will never stop.
No, he did not. Reuters also saw flying unicorns yesterday.
Liberals project and protect...they have no chess pieces, only playing cards, moldy and overused...they project all horses are unicorns and all skies are rainbows...except their rainbows have 6 colors, not 7.
If K's teenage daughters can take it, I think we adults here - there are some adults here, right? - can take it. Or maybe not, but one can dream.
