Same here. I knew two machinists who were lesbians and were together for 50 years. One gal played baseball during world war two in the ladies leagues and became a machinist right after the war. She was also blind in one eye since she was 7 after an accident. One of the best machinists I’ve ever encountered.
They kept to themselves, never shoved it in your face and were exceedingly aggravated when they saw the insane militancy going on with the gay rights movement. Always a class act the both of them. They are both gone now. RIP
