I get the impression that he is strongly auditioning for the likely AG opening that will be coming shortly after the November election.
I thought about that, but I don’t think POTUS will go with another Senator, for AG, next go around.
However....I would like to see Lindsey replace the feeble Chuck Grassley as Chair of the Senate Judiciary. He is ranking Senator, so it could happen.
Mr Grassley needs to kindly step down from that Chair position.
I never woulda said it before but if he keeps going at this rate we need him in the senate.
