My comment about “entrancement” goes to “Lord of the Rings” movies. Gramma Wormtongue was an evil counselor to one of Kings and had him under such a spell that he could not make a right decision and was visibly dying.
Once others detected this treason Wormtongue was kicked out and the King regained his reason and was visibly regaining his health.
The Simpson’s was a different subject and it is arguably the greatest tv show ever even though it is a cartoon. It has been on the tube for about 25 yrs. It is difficult not to know what it is.
But the Simpsons? I don't watch TV so if they are on TV, that is why I never heard of them. Not a pop culture guy.
Know little about the latest or most popular of anything, except maybe John Deere tractors. My wife and I raise Angus beef cattle on our farm. No time to watch TV.
