It’s my understanding that at the time that Ford claims these events happened Maryland had a 1 year statute of limitations on allegations such as these.I believe that at some point later they did away with the statute of limitations...but that move wouldn’t effect events that might have occurred before the move due to the prohibition against ex post facto laws.

The letter is very specific and states “Furthermore, the law at the time the offense occurred is the law that must be applied to any charges that might be brought. For example, in 1982, assault and attempted rape were both misdemeanors and subject to a one-year statute of limitations.”
The letter is signed by both the Montgomery Chief of Police and the State’s Attorney.
Montgomery Chief of Police should be “Chief of Police, Montgomery County Police Department”.
Dont worry; if the Rats cant get him on that, they will make one up.
“Furthermore, the law at the time the offense occurred...”
Notice the offense is not “alleged” anymore. Ipso facto, the Maryland PD have publicly characterized a nonevent as a crime. One with no crime scene, no date, no forensics, no witnesses.
I suppose it could be a mistake, but forgive me for being a cynic.
