Rollins on Jeff Flake: He Will Go Down As One of the Great Turncoats and Cowards in Senate History

Full title:

GOP Consultant Ed Rollins on Jeff Flake: He Will Go Down As One of the Great Turncoats and Cowards in Senate History (VIDEO)

Earlier in the day on Friday Senator Jeff Flake announced he would vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee.

Then he got cornered in an elevator by a screaming leftist for 4 minutes.

About an hour later and after several private talks with Democrats Jeff Flake came out and announced he would only vote for Brett Kavanaugh if an investigation continued on the man for another week.

This is exactly what Democrats were hoping for.

Longtime GOP consultant Ed Rollins commented on Flake’s cowardice.

“Lou Dobbs: They were intimidating Jeff Flake. They got him in a small room outside the hearing room and they were all piled in there.

Ed Rollins: He will go down as one of the great turncoats and cowards in the political history of the US Senate based on this thing. And I hope he does the right thing at the end of the day after having demanded this hearing.

Ed was being nice.

Highly doubtful. Flake is banking on more lying skanks coming out of the woodwork (a safe bet) in order to give him cover to vote 'no' and stick it to Trump and conservatives one last time out the door.

Also interesting how a bunch of protestors are able to corner a senator that way (especially after the Republicans were shot at the softball game)
Where the hell was the security?

That is exactly what bothers me. How the heck is it that just anyone can walk into the US Senate, corner and threaten any US Senator at will, and (in the case of Charles Grassley) take over and occupy his office for hours and trash the joint. Where the heck are the Capitol Police and security?

“A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Among the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Flake is the weakest link and the Liberals/Democrats knew it.”

Exactly!

And he’ll be laughing all the way to the bank to deposit his 30 pieces of silver.

Yup. With all the millions he will be collecting from the likes of Soros, Tom Steyer, as a “Republican analyst” on MSNBC, CNN etc (them outfits just love “Republicans who stick it to the Republican Party and Donald Trump).

Can you imagine the ‘$hiite $torm’ had it been 4 or 5 men confronting ANY female Member in the same manner?

The real question is HOW they got there, not what they were there for, BUT I guess a group of ‘innocent’ looking women are allowed ‘free access’.

Used to be most ‘Truck Stops’ would not let non-truckers in the same area as OTR drivers, hard to imagine ‘plain old civilians’ being allowed to be able to ‘overtake’ a Sitting Member in that fashion.

MAYBE the four or five should be investigated and let’s see whose OFFICE they were invited to so as to be able to be in a position to ‘attack’.

Next ‘peaceful group’ may very well be armed and YES, I do believe some of these fanatics would view themselves as martyrs if they were to be taken out while taking out a member of the ‘Enemy Party’.

Well Flake had to grab being a turncoat in Congress because “the son of a postman” was already taken by his traitorous buddy Kasich and McStain will be remembered for thumbs down 👎 on Obamacare. He needed something to make people remember him as he is an otherwise waste of oxygen.

Flake and Murkowski must have planned this all along.

“..Then he got cornered in an elevator by a screaming leftist for 4 minutes. ...”

Staged event to give him cover.

If he can’t stand up to two commie broads and remember he has a pair of balls, he should never have been in politics.

He’s a gutless p*ssy, and the sooner we replace him with a Man the better.

Jeff Flake has been a squish RINO all along. That’s why he’s leaving the senate. His own constituents have run him out. Polls showed he couldn’t win so he’s leaving. He’s going to get a handsome shortfall the Dems later after this all does down and nobody is looking.

Jeff Flake is what a person who lacks courage and conviction looks like.

If by “a Man” you mean “a person with the strength to stand up for his convictions,” then I agree 100%. But please note that the GOP nominee in the election to replace Flake, Martha McSally, does not have testicles or a Y chromosome.

“..a person with the strength to stand up for his convictions...”

I do.

“..Martha McSally, does not have testicles or a Y chromosome...”

If she is as you described above, then excellent. If she is Arizona’s version of Susan Collins, then no, not so much.

We do not need another RINO.

This is a very good point. They must be treated as the enemy, period.

I had such a “friend” at the university. Cordial, we worked together in classes, but I could never totally trust him because of his ideology. He was voting, contributing, and working for my very demise.

Beyond that, they are going to have to tighten security at the Capitol, and drastically limit the number of people who can just “walk in,” including total #s at any one time.

At this point, I think the president should be under extra heavy security. As well, I’d add a company of Marines to the US Marshal detail that carries out the sex assault payments and records seizure.

There is a reason the Rats are asking for FBI involvement. We don’t know just what that reason is yet but anyone who has been paying any attention at all realizes they have ALREADY said “just gives us this so we can feel accommodated” at LEAST three times. They have something up their sleeve, you can bet your life on it.

Gads. Finally, an FR Class of 98 alumni who actually paid attention in class.

I didn't even think of that - I thought it was for the delay.

My assessment is that Flakey just emboldened an army of Lefty Twitter bunny boilers.

Dipstick better have a REAL plan.

You get locked out of Twatter? You haven't tweeted in a while.

You didn't get frisky with Lucille, did you?    winking face

I told people that if you were locked out, it was because you were rallying the Twitter troops on Kavanaugh and the November election ...
