Full title:
GOP Consultant Ed Rollins on Jeff Flake: He Will Go Down As One of the Great Turncoats and Cowards in Senate History (VIDEO)
Earlier in the day on Friday Senator Jeff Flake announced he would vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee.
Then he got cornered in an elevator by a screaming leftist for 4 minutes.
About an hour later and after several private talks with Democrats Jeff Flake came out and announced he would only vote for Brett Kavanaugh if an investigation continued on the man for another week.
This is exactly what Democrats were hoping for.
Longtime GOP consultant Ed Rollins commented on Flakes cowardice.
Lou Dobbs: They were intimidating Jeff Flake. They got him in a small room outside the hearing room and they were all piled in there.
Ed Rollins: He will go down as one of the great turncoats and cowards in the political history of the US Senate based on this thing. And I hope he does the right thing at the end of the day after having demanded this hearing.
Ed was being nice.
Same here... Not much choice and he campaigned on the very opposite of what he has produced. I wonder of it is legal to file a class action lawsuit for fraud and misrepresentation against a sitting Senator. I would put my name at the top in a heartbeat.
“He sounded scared. Like he was being blackmailed. Something happened in the elevator. Just listen to him speak. Yes hes a coward.”
Apparantly he planned it the night before. Entire episode may have been staged.
He was in on it.
The communists have something on him, a sword they’re holding over his head. He’s stepping down at the end of this term and now they’re controlling him by threatening to expose him. If he were any sort of a man, he’d take his lumps and rat ‘em out.
Ed’s got enough contributers and influence to make that Flake Snake a pariah. But will he do it? I don’t know him, aside from Lou Dobbs, so no freaking idea.
Rollins said that his PAC and other PACs will actively go after any Republican who votes no.
That doesn’t help in Flakes case but a good warning to get out to other squishes.
They won’t “interrogate” her. Interrogations are done by CIA/Military types. Not allowed in the Law Enforcement world. She will be “Interviewed”.
So, with that being said, here’s my 2 cents....
1. FBI getting involved means that they are amending the background check/security clearance-type investigation, that the Judge has already been through and passed. So, new information, means that new people are interviewed. No worries. However, all of the people that need to be interviewed have already made public statements, so the FBI just goes in and asks them to verify their statements. If they deviate from what they said publicly, two things can happen:
A. they can be investigated and charged with 18USC1001 for lying to a Federal Investigator. Their story has to be the same as what they’ve already said. And, it’s a little different making a statement on Twitter than looking at 2 FBI agents on the other side of the table. As one of her early supporters and “witnesses” has said, AFTER RECANTING HER ORIGINAL STATEMENT OF SUPPORT, they weren’t expecting this sort of scrutiny and push-back. They all thought they’d just sling a pile of sh*t against the wall, Kavanaugh would go away and they’d all celebrate at Happy Hour. Not so much. Now, all of their backgrounds get looked into as well. Because when the FBI comes-a-calling, they’ve already run checks on them as well.
And, having been thru clearance investigations, personally, the investigators explain what 18 USC 1001 is and that you could be charged with it. They do that to set the ‘tone’.
B. If the people refuse to cooperate, even though they’ve already made statements, the FBI can label them as uncooperative, therefore, unreliable and go through with the investigation, noting that they were unable to interview these people.
.......... OR ............
2. Ford goes to the local cops and files a complaint. Which they then start to investigate. Kavanaugh’s lawyers have as much say in the process, when dealing with the Prosecutors office as Ford’s. She’s has no corroborating evidence and can’t remember anything so, this case goes no where fast.
The biggest issue is, all the info is already out there. Ford, et al had their chance and came up short. Now the Dem’s are moving the goalpost’s, as expected. Up to McConnell to get a hold of this thing and get stuff moving. During the OJ trial, there were lots of people that COULDN’T be called as witnesses because they had talked to the media and some were paid, making them unreliable. Folks that would get tore up in a courtroom.
Can anyone make that Flake a$$hole a pariah in DC? You can get blackballed in Hollywood, why not in DC? Who can make a GOP traitor persona non grata?
Ultimately a moot question. Our side does not operate that way. To the contrary, moderation and "reaching across the aisle" is rewarded.
They, on the other hand, go straight for the throat, and thrive off the blood of their victims.
“””Ford goes to the local cops and files a complaint. Which they then start to investigate.”””
I believe Maryland law as of 1982 precludes that from happening.
Meanwhile, (all week) more vile leftist womyn anarchists drag their fat asses to Washington to accuse Kavanaugh of pinching their asses 40 years ago - like all high school kids do
I have had clearances as well. They go to your neighbors door and ask about you. Maybe some co workers. The Rats know this. Looking into specific allegations is not a background check. There is a reason the Rats are asking for FBI involvement. We dont know just what that reason is yet but anyone who has been paying any attention at all realizes they have ALREADY said just gives us this so we can feel accommodated at LEAST three times. They have something up their sleeve, you can bet your life on it.
They don’t preclude her from going to the cops. They preclude her from being able to file a complaint because she “waited” so long. In something like this, the cops would tell her to go directly to the DAs office to file the complaint and let their investigators handle it. Only to find out that they can’t take the complaint due to statute of limitations and the circus goes round and round.
“Ed Rollins: He will go down as one of the great turncoats and cowards in the political history of the US Senate”
And he’ll be laughing all the way to the bank to deposit his 30 pieces of silver.
Yup!!!
And it can all be ended with two things ...
McConnell talks to his people and when he knows he has the votes, schedules it and puts Kavanaugh on SCOTUS.
Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, walks into the Capitol w/ his security detail, a dozen US Marshals, the Chief of the Capitol Police and a dozen of his officers, with sealed subpoena in hand ... AND ... takes possession of all the records pertaining to payments made to individuals as a result of sexual harassment complaints against members of the US Congress. He then meets, on camera and out of earshot(so no one can hear what he says) w/ Ryan, Pelosi, Schumer, & McConnell, and then walks out of the building, w/ records in hand.
He then announces, via Twitter and impromptu presser, that he has asked the DOJ to investigate the Chinese Spy that worked for Feinstein for the last 20yrs and how someone like that has been able to pass all their background checks.
Drops the mic and gets back into the Beast, to head to the People’s House.
Flake is complicate.
Now we see yet another disaster emanating from putting Sessions in as AG. His replacement is a tool of Schumer, basically Alabama which voted 65 percent Trump has the third senator from New York. If Sessions had stayed put, we would have 52 senators and the current situation would have been a lot less likely, plus the Justice Department wouldn’t be the disaster it is.
Flake wants to be loved by the left and media. Will not be surprised to see him at CNN or NBC as a token republican commentator.
Time for turnabout...
