A lot of folks with views like this are essentially hankering for a Christianity that has no Christ.

Any believer who hears this kind of talk should ask what kind of witness emanates from his or her own life. “A lot of rules ordained through men” isn’t Christ. “A supreme, gracious Ruler” is Christ. One’s worldview will show.

On education..."...possible to every capable and industrious citizen the attainment of higher education..." if you think for one minute 'they' want smarter people...the answer is NO, they want dumbendown people that they can control. Hence everyone must attend school for the government propaganda they will be taught.

Dumbed down....(simplified so as to be intellectually undemanding and accessible to a wide audience.)

Leftists always point to Europe as the model for government generosity. They always fail to realize that most nations in the EU rely on their NATO membership and the promise of US intervention for their security and have shunned substantially all of their own defense spending. They have diverted necessary defense dollars to government giveaways, effectively foisting the cost of those generous programs onto the backs of the American taxpayer.

What’s even more laughable is that when the dsa humpers point to their gold-standard, it’s always a majority white nation that appeals to them. None of the brown socialists in South America impress them, likewise none of the dark brown socialists in Africa. Apparently only white people can get socialism right, in the eyes of leftists.

Socialism – effects:

(1) economics & politics:

anti-reality
anti-reason
anti-integrated mode of thought
pro-force
pro-sacrificial altruism
pro-collectivism
pro-government dependency
pro-government interventionism
pro-egalitarianism
pro-social justice
pro-social engineering
pro-government redistributionism
pro-statism
pro-government monopoly
assault on and destruction of freedom and other natural rights
restrictions on freedom of migration
compulsory sharing of housing
assault on and destruction of institutions and principles required for a proper division of labor economy: private property, private ownership of the means of production, free market price system, profits, pursuit of personal self interest, freedom of competition, freedom of inequality, saving and accumulation of capital
universal wage and price controls by government monopoly
increases in quantity demanded
decreases in quantity and quality of supply
shortages of goods and labor
rationing
hoarding
endless waiting lines
massive black markets
failure of centralized planning and bureaucratic management
increased inefficiency and waste
destruction of economic order and harmony
economic chaos in distribution of goods, labor, and capital, and anarchy of production
destruction of vital industries
impotence of consumers to influence producers
hatred between buyers and sellers
socialist production quota system
decreased or paralyzed individual incentive to provide high quality goods and services
decreased or paralyzed individual initiative to make improvements
decreased technological advances and technological progress = technological backwardness
assault on and destruction of total productive ability
assault on and destruction of economic progress
assault on and destruction of prosperity
assault on and destruction of happiness
economic stagnation, decline, and decay followed by impoverishment and economic collapse
increased exploitation and powerlessness of the masses
tyranny, forced labor,
terror, and mass murder
aristocratic privilege and elitist court society for leaders and their favorites

(2) morality:

In the context of a rational society and country:
- life is the objective standard of value,
- and so, things that are beneficial to life are also an objective value
- it is a fact of reality that life requires individual rights, and that they are beneficial to life,
- therefore, individual rights are an objective value, are pro-life, and are moral.
- Capitalism and limited government are compatible with individual rights,
- and so, capitalism and limited government are an objective value, are pro-life, and are moral.
- It is a fact of reality that socialism and statism require force, and therefore, are incompatible with individual rights
- it is a fact of reality that socialism and statism are harmful to life,
- therefore, socialism and statism are an objective anti-value, are anti-life, and are immoral.

DeSpotsAmerica tell the workers THEY will hold the power but Marxist Waters already spilled the beans that the goal is to nationalize (seize) all industries and give the money and reigns to the corrupt AF State.

"We demand profit sharing in big business."

Buy stock in the company. You can buy fractional stocks these days. Investor insights welcome.

"We demand a broad extension of care for the aged. We ask that the government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunity for employment and earning a living. In order to make possible to every capable and industrious citizen the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our entire system of public education. We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents."

What institutionally indoctrinated DSA leaders unsurprisingly don’t understand about the “government” powers mentioned above is this. In USA, the power to establish the earthly utopia that many people look for are based on 10th Amendment-protected state powers, depending on what the legal voters of a given state want, not the very limited powers that the states have expressly constitutionally delegated to corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds.

”... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added].” —Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)

"The government must undertake the improvement of public health-by protecting mother and child, by prohibiting child labor, by the greatest possible support for all clubs concerned with the physical education of youth."

The above hypocritical statement on children makes me very very angry. This is because, regardless that socialists front-end themselves with children, they certainly don't hesitate to promote the murder of unborn children to win votes to stay in power.

Insights welcome.

There's only one way to debate a socialist totalitarian: The Second Amendment. Apply as often as needed. Never forget that buried underneath all of socialism's Utopian promises is a disarmed, cowed and obedient population.

There are, in my opinion, two kinds of socialists: Marxists and feudalists. The Marxist believes in a set of premises which basically are the same as a criminal’s - what you have is mine. The feudalist believes in a collective society - everybody is responsible for and to everybody else.

The Democratic Socialists seem to be Marxists who want to sound like feudalists.

Here’s How To Successfully Debate A Democratic Socialist

Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. (in other words, don't argue with an idiot less you be mistaken for the idiot.)

Proverbs 14:7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

Why socialists need capitalism points out that socialists are now giving out free “Obamaphones” as a “right” - but cell phones wouldn’t exist if socialism had been instituted before capitalists designed and built them and their infrastructure. And that is far from the only example of such a novel “right.” Medical care as we know it is also such - institute socialism in 1900, and there are no antibiotics, let alone MRIs and CAT scans.

So it is always too soon to institute socialism.

Another approach is to take on socialism’s insistence on worker management of industry. Apple is the biggest corporation in the US. Just exactly what would assembly line workers making computers or tablets or phones know about managing Apple? They know zilch - and if they did, that knowledge would destroy or severely compromise Apple’s business plan!

Likewise, twenty years ago or so, in the middle of the computer boom, I read an old socialist tract about worker participation in management - arguing, unconvincingly, that workers would be able to help decide whether to make diesel or steam locomotives! That was written when airlines were beginning to take over the long-distance passenger travel market. They do not know what the actually important questions even are! (Most of us don’t).
