A son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia rejected claims that Brett Kavanaugh lacks the appropriate temperament to serve on the Supreme Court after a contentious hearing with senators Thursday.
"It's really not all that rare for justices to get angry," public relations professional Christopher Scalia said during a Fox News interview. "You read some of the dissents, they're mad. They are often called scathing and fiery."
Scalia, one of nine children of the late conservative justice, said the context of Kavanaugh's hearing is different than what he would face on the court.
"It's true that Justice Kavanaugh was perhaps more aggressive than justices would be, but that's, I think, because the circumstances were a lot different. Justices are talking about points of law. He was defending his good name from uncorroborated allegations," Scalia said.

It seems to me that this guy was condemning Kavanaugh on Twitter the other day.
God bless this brave young man!
Left during Martha McCallum’s interview: He was too soft spoken, obviously guilty
Left during Senate Hearing: He was upset and crying too much, obviously guilty
The left KNOWS Ford and the rest of them are liars, but the ends justify the means..defending their precious abortion and staying in POWER is all that matters to them
My opinion of progressives has gone from distrust to disgust to revulsion.
They will soon go too far (if they have not already) and will reap the wind.
Bring it, slime molds.
I have been reading Senator Heitkamps facebook page. All the liberals are saying she must vote no to protect abortion rights.
I may post this.....Please vote No on Judge K. He will be confirmed anyway and you will be out of a job in a month Bye Bye.
But...but....but...it was a bit “sharp” for Senator Flake?
Really? I think you must be mistaken or read one of his sarcastic tweets out of context. I’ve seen pro-BK comments from C. Scalia and his wife all week.
The media acts as if getting angry at being called a gang rapist is something unusual.
Ok, I may have read it wrong or mistaken the tone. Sadly, I don’t trust anyone in the public eye anymore and so always assume the worst. It’s been a very trying week!
Looks like they got the DNC Marching orders, attack his temperament, now that they know the FBI Investigation won’t find anything.
His anger didn’t bother me but I was worried he was going to burst into tears.
Do not want a sch who cries like a john bonerhead.
SCJ that is.
His temperament does not need defending
There is no comparison. Boehner was a blanded, boozy sap, waxing sentimental about his “colleagues” and job like it was a fraternal cult. Kavanaugh was being actively slandered in front of his family and county and got appropriately angry/emotional.
Remember the environment. Linda became Lindsy before our eyes, there was THAT much pressure.
He was not a judge at that moment; he was a wronged man.
Everyone in the Committee room (except for Sen Flake) and all the talking heads know her claim was false and lacked coalberation. This is from the playbook and we have seen this play before.
This show was for low information voters. Hopefully this stuff no longer works and will instead stoke a red tsunami.
One of my relatives said this is why he chose to never concealed carry for his own good.
...protesters who showed up with protest signs that allowed them to write in the nominee's name on the fly.
AND ---
In an embarrassing blunder, though, the Women's March statement began: "In response to Donald Trump's nomination of XX to the Supreme Court"
Haw!! "We vociferously protest the nomination of XX, an infamous extremist rightwing judge! Just about anyone would be a better choice than XX, who is well known to be a partisan hack!"
Another no class exhibition by the democrats but that is no surprise at all.
