McCarthy, R-Calif., said he believes that the allegations, the focus of Thursday testimony from Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford, are making Republicans more likely to get involved and vote.
"Prior to the Kavanaugh hearing, the intensity level was really on the Democratic side," McCarthy said during a Fox News interview.
"More Democrats were wanting to go vote than Republicans. Republicans thought there was not a need," he said. "But in the last week there has been a fundamental shift. People are now becoming upset. Not just at how Justice Kavanaugh was treated, but Dr. Ford. That the Democrats, knowing, had this letter, held it, and then put her though this — you did not have to do this."
"I think the intensity level has increased because of what has transformed," McCarthy said on Fox News. "If on Nov. 7 we woke up and the Democrats took the majority, what you watched last week would be intensified for the next two years."
McCarthy said he's seen an increase in Republican engagement on many fronts since the Kavanaugh allegations were made public.
"I think it's changed drastically. We look at just the absentee ballots, those who are requesting ballots prior, that's increased over the last week. We look at volunteerism coming into the campaign. We look at things that are happening online," he said.

In my circle of family and friends, there is intense anger.
Not all are as conservative as I, but there is a consensus among them that:
1. The Democrats and Feinstein erred badly, in holding back this information and violating the desire for anonymity of Christine Ford.
2. Everyone even those more liberal, think it became a circus because of how the Democrats handled this whole thing.
3. Everyone agrees the Democrat senators who say that Kavanaugh needs to somehow prove his innocence, is a bridge too far.
4. Some thing Kavanaugh was too vociferous in his denunciation of this process, but concede that anyone has a right to be angry if false accused of something.
5. Almost everyone I talked too, thinks Christine Ford is a victim of the process, and agree that the Democrats in this process put in the position of going public with her story when she didn’t want to.
What you need to do, Mr. McCarthy, is fund the Wall.

I warned the Democrats that the “Brett Kavanaugh” war was not the one to fight in. I said if you pursue Kavanaugh and over play your hand you will noy lose Kavanaugh, who become an Associate Justcie on the Supreme Court, but you will lose the Mid-Term elections
Having Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS means nothing because he is a moderate, Kennedy’s replacement. The Mid Term Elections is the prize to fight for. Now. you will either get Kavanaugh or, if not him, you will get a full blown female, Conservative Justice and lose the Mid-Term elections too.
And, if the Democrats fail at least to win the House their political days as meaningful political opposition are over for many years to come. I have faith in the Rat Party to fuel our discontent all the way till election day. I hve never seen so many of my non political friends so totally pissed off at the lynching of this judge.
