“I believe that destroying something without having developed something new is extremely dangerous,” Merkel said at a regional election campaign event in Bavaria.

Communist-leaning Merkel perhaps does not understand that the "something new" is free enterprise.

Free enterprise is beyond the capability of most of the countries in the UN because they will not return their illegitimate power to the people.

The hard core communists will melt away as other countries join with the USA and other successful countries that practice capitalism.

Why not, Merkey?

If you’re so hellbent on protecting the UN, why not make it worth our while to protect it?

stop destroying Germany, Merkel, with your stupid virtue-signalling Paris Agreement nonsense:

29 Sept: San Francisco Chronicle: Bloomberg: Germany’s coal habit proves hard to kick
by Brian Parkin and William Wilkes; Arne Delfs contributed
The conflict represents another challenge for Germany’s political establishment as it pits the country’s economic interests against goals of becoming an environmental leader in a 500 billion-euro ($590 billion) shift to renewable power. Those competing agendas are now colliding in and around Hambach – a district known as Rhein-Erft-Kreis – where concerns range from lost jobs and soaring electricity prices to the incessant hum of wind turbines and “electrosmog” from new power lines…
Germany relies on lignite for 23 percent of its electricity…

Those grand, feel-good aspirations were further complicated in 2011 when Merkel decided to phase out nuclear power. That made coal and lignite, which still account for nearly 40 percent of German electricity, all but indispensable, even though the country wants to exit the fuel. The messy overhaul is now turning into painful reality for many.
“It’s been very costly, but there’s not much to show for it,” said Colin Vance, an energy economist at the RWI research institute in Essen, Germany. “Frustration’s growing among the public, coming to a boil where consumers feel the pinch of rising power prices and their neighborhoods being ripped up for new transmission lines.”…

If the government doesn’t show it can carefully balance climate protection with affordable and secure power, “it’s going to be a big challenge keeping voters on board,” said (CDU’s Georg) Kippels, 58, during a tour of his district where he’s increasingly struggling to defend the Merkel’s energy policy…
Upcoming state elections will be the next test, with Bavaria and Hesse voting in October and the lignite centers of Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt holding ballots in 2019...

There is no immediate alternative to the cheap power from coal and lignite. Wind and solar energy can be expensive and need to be augmented by other sources when weather conditions aren’t favorable...

“We need lignite,” said Kippels. “As long as we’re years away from a clean-power economy, it’s hard to see how we can do without it – not without causing unrest.”

Meurky wants globalism, an extension of the EU game her country is leading.

A federation on independent states needs a United Nations too so they discuss problems and come up with solutions.

We don’t need global government to get that job done. String sovereign states that agree to freely cooperate or not cooperate is better.

33 Wasn’t that in The Sum of All Fears? Some secret German Nazis try to provoke a nuclear war?

That was according to the cultural-Marxist Hollywood screenplay re-write which totally omitted the radical Palestinian involvement.

Yup.

The UN needs to move its HQ to Sudan or to South Africa. GTF out of the US.

Yes, Merkel is such a brain trust. I look at what she has done to her own nation, and I’m so happy she’s able to give us advice. /s

That U. N. she defends, it and the E. U. are the reasons for what is taking place in Europe this very moment.

It’s an invasion, and she’s caught as flat-footed as the French were in WWII.

I can still see that Frenchman crying as our troops walked through Paris.

Merkel is crying with glee as Islam marches through her nation.

“Why can’t everyone be like me?”

Screw you Merkel.

“Global governance” is a form of “coercion and domination” that “responsible nations must defend against”, he charged. …

Something I always tell others when I hear of people "wishing for peace on Earth" is that there will never be peace on Earth because of long-standing grievances between tribes of people. The only "peace" will come from coercion by global dictatorship, and that is to be avoided at all costs! President Trump is a very smart guy!
