If you are living in fear of sexual assault, it seems that adding a second door would be the last thing you'd do. A second door provides another access point. Was she afraid of her husband?

I have a neighbor, a single woman, who always (24/7/365) leaves her front porch light on and never opens any of her curtains or blinds. If she is afraid of something in the outside world, would she install a second front door?

Ha! That’s nothing.

A co-worker of mine has a neighbor who has an 8ft tall barbed wire topped chain link fence surrounding his house. He has the infrared perimeter sensors that anything breaks the beam the alarm goes off. He has cameras on every corner of the house covering every possible approach to the house. On top of all that he had burglar bars on all the doors and windows, as well as tinfoil attached to the inside of the windows. He had a narrow path so the meter readers can do their jobs, and this path was totally enclosed in chain link.
