Democratic Texas Rep. Beto ORourkes senate campaign was flagged by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Sunday for accepting excessive and impermissible donations.
The FEC notified ORourke that a preliminary review of his campaigns July quarterly report showed contributions from one or more individuals with addresses outside of the United States. Donations were also made that exceed the limit determined by the federal government. ORourke has 45 days to respond.

The warning from the FEC came on the same evening that ORourke was scheduled to debate Sen. Ted Cruz at the University of Houston. The El Paso congressman declined Cruzs invitation to the debate, instead live streaming his repeated attempts at making a campaign ad. ORourke notably avoided committing to any debates against Cruz for weeks during the summer, and even bowed out of the first tentatively scheduled debate saying he was unhappy that he didnt get a big enough say in the terms.

That’s not what the article would indicate.
Organizers announced Friday that Sunday night’s event at the University of Houston was off while they work with both sides to possibly reschedule.
O’Rourke and Cruz debated last week in Dallas and had been set to meet a third time in San Antonio on Oct. 16.
I know someone named Humberto that goes by Beto.
The media couldn’t care less.
The Leftist public will think he’s a great guy anyway.
Or Roberto. But Im pretty sure hes a gringo through and through and this is a grab at the Latino voters. I hope enough of them are smart enough to be insulted.
Dinesh DiSouza is available to advise Beto.
Joke - If you want to keep your guns, Beto vote for Cruz.
The Cruz haters are out in force in this thread. I thought JimRob made clear your hate and negativity are not welcome here.
If the media ignores this, Cruz won’t. Of course no Democrats will switch because of it but some independents caught up in the RFK cult may notice. Cruz can hit him on it at the last debate and make Betov respond. Judging from the first debate, Betov doesn’t handle accusations very well.
Well, did he intend to violate the law?
I read them all and I didn't see anything.
You’re fired!

Ping.
I dont know about being a coward, Beto is smart. I would rather have a bite contest with a pit bull than debate Cruz, Cruz is brilliant at debates.
Donations from outside the U.S.? Just return the money to George Soros asap.
This is a resume enhancer for Democrats. Obama got tagged for CFV as well. What happened with him, again?
The DNC won’t stamp your demwit card unless you have tax and campaign money problems.
