What's next in Kavanaugh confirmation process?
Fox News ^ | Oct. 1, 2018, 38 min ago | Chad Pergram

We don’t believe McConnell will move to end debate until Wednesday at the earliest. But could McConnell do so even though the FBI probe isn’t complete? That’s a risk for McConnell. Such a maneuver could be viewed as jumping the gun and violating the accord he reached with Sens. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. McConnell must be very careful not to pull the trigger too early. He needs to satisfy the triumvirate of Collins, Murkowski and Flake.

Just go ahead and hold the votes. Enough delay already.

Do we know which specific cases are being argued this term and in what order they will be heard? Is there something in particular that the libs do not want him seated for?

I have an anonymous source who claims that Kavanaugh went two full days before changing his clocks for Daylight Savings Time. Can we trust such a person on the Supreme Court?

The Judicial Committee refered the matter to the full senate with a single condition: A supplemental investigation by the FBI to take no longer than one week.

So, any time after Thursday and subject to Senate debate and cloture rules McConnell can call the vote. He won't do so, of course, without 50 votes (meaning he doesn't need Flake's) but, without any Democrats/Leftists, he'll need all Republicans including Murkowski and Collins who agreed with the Judiciary Committee's recommendation (one week for the FBI to complete a supplemental investigation). As is so often the case, it's up to these two to conclude that because there have been sufficient investigations (including this most recent one), because no new evidence has been presented and because of Kavanaugh's nearly four decades of impeccable performance and credentials he has earned their votes ... and the Democrat/Left can do nothing to stop confirmation.

This, simply put, is what it comes down to.

Huh?

McConnell made no such deal with Flake, Collins, and Murkowski. Grassley made the deal with Flake, assuming Mitch would go along.

McConnell must be very careful not to pull the trigger too early. He needs to satisfy the triumvirate of Collins, Murkowski and Flake.

Ok, that much is unfortunately true.

That is the point, he will NEVER satisfy Collins, Murkowski and Flake.

Yes, it is way past time to call for a vote. Make the Senators put up or shut up. Get on with confirmation process. Now.

Trump should call that Senator in Indiana and remind him that he won’t always be a Senator but Trump will always be a Billionaire. If you know what I mean.
