2nd girl Yarasavage: A Sept. 24 text shows Yarasavage clarifying that she did not refute Ramirez’s claims to the New Yorker. Republicans and Kavanaugh have said that his former classmates, who gave an anonymous statement to the New Yorker, have refuted Ramirez’s claim.
“I didn’t say I would have known. … I said she never told me, I never heard a word of this ever happening and never saw it. The media surmised (that I was saying she is lying),” said Yarasavage.
Yarasavage declined to speak to NBC News as did other classmates named in Berchem’s memo who may have information pertinent to the investigation.
Neither of those girls said they have knowledge of the incident if you read carefully what they say above.
Wild parties at Ivy League schools and the only ones invited eventually became conservatives. That’s why thes things can be investigated. /s/
I have an anonymous source who says that President Trump has authorized the IC agencies to help the FBI retrieve communications relating to plot against Kavenaugh.

The magazine almost certainly contacted him for a statement before publication. Being thus warned about the impending slander, he looked to find actual people to refute the story, rather than a simple denial. Makes perfect sense.
He knew about it because Ramirez was calling mutual friends to try to find corroboration for the story she was about to report. Those mutual friends told Judge Kavanaugh. Not too difficult to figure out.
Well it didn’t long for the latest lie to be shot down.

NBC’s Kavanaugh-Derangement Syndrome is in addition to their Trump-Derangement Syndrome. One strain of the Derangement Disease is bad enough; two is almost impossible to cure. Only way to deal with them is to put them out of their misery by voting for Republicans in 2018 and for Trump (again) in 2020. :)

I think the article is implying that Kavanaugh lied when he said he first heard about the charges from the New Yorker Article.
I think they have it backwards. I think he came out and asked for people to refute the charges after they came out.

you’re assuming that NBC is telling the truth:
1. that text messages even exist
2. that any text messages are who they claim they are from and to
3. that any text messages are relevant to what NBC claims
4. that the content of any text messages are what NBC claims
NBC offers no proof at all of any of that ... they simply make a whole raft of unsupported allegations about some supposed text messages ... in other word completely fabricated fake news
