Releasing a client or anyone’s CONFIDENTIAL tax papers is illegal without their permission. Time for NYT subpoenas and 6:00 AM FBI raids on their offices and the homes of their reporters. LUV IT!
I think all Trump has to do is say that that is not his return filed to the IRS -— it is a fraudulent return. If it were his return, the NYT could show how they got it legally … fruit of the poisonous tree and all that.
