The remnants of Hurricane Rosa passed through today, and we got soaked. The temps are down in the 70s, and it looks like our summer is finally over — and not a moment too soon.

WOOHOO! A good soaking and cool temps! Bet y’all are thrilled about that! As hot and miserable as it’s been here, you’ve had it worse.

I hope summer doesn’t sneak back like it did here. We had a few nice, cool days then BAM! The forecast that said we’d be comfy all this week changed overnight. :-(

Four and a half inches here in Scottsdale. Quite a soaker. More rain on the way, and it’s welcome. The local drought has ended.

I heard you were getting slammed from a guy that is into hurricanes, etc. hurricanetrack.com. He had a cam set up there to try to catch some of the desert flash floods....which by the look of things, he did!

The cooler weather will really be welcome there!

Leaving for Ft. Worth tomorrow and then to Lake Whitney on Thursday morning. Shouldn’t take long to get down there if I don’t get lost. LOL!

I do have written instructions that I did for myself. Those darn googlemap babes always lead a person on a wild goose chase. LOL!

I’ll try to get lots of pictures to post on the thread.

You DID get a good dose! I hope the next round is as good or better. There’s some catchin’ up to do. And the rain will keep things nice and cool as well.

Maybe that’s where our breeze came from today .... the big sigh of relief from all of you out there. :-)

Had to go for it since I actually noticed it was there. LOL I’ve missed too many lately.

I was thinking you’d said you were heading out tomorrow and it’s nice to know a few brain cells still function. LOL

You do what I do .... written directions. Easy to glance at when driving and I get where I’m going. We don’t have GPS in our vehicles and don’t have cell phones and don’t want them. Friends who do have them have complained more than once about getting wrong directions.

If I write it down myself, I remember it way better than depending on some annoying voice bossing ma around. LOL!

I’m going to go now. I need to get up a bit earlier than usual tomorrow so I can reach my destination before rush hour makes it crazy. I’ll probably see everyone tomorrow night at some point. Have a great day!

How was your romp time at the lake with Gizmo yesterday? Was it crowded or did y’all have the place to yourselves?

The park was empty. Just me and Gizmo. We had fun out there.

It does help it stick in the brain a little better. And after you’ve made a turn, it’s easy to glance at the directions to see where the next turn will be. One turn at a time.
