I am married to one. Going on 30 years. We made a deal early on which stated that if you make a political comment, I get to also make a comment. It’s our version of the fairness doctrine.
Her parents once made a comment to me about republicans being Nazis and I retorted “You would vote for Hitler if he had a “D” next to his name.” We didn’t talk for 10 years.
My basic philosophy is as long as you are hurting anyone or inflicting your views on me (or making me pay for it), I don't have an objection.
