Joe Scarborough may have publicly left the Republican party, but he still very often takes the same conservative approach to the news of the day.
This was on full display this morning has he slammed what he sees as biased media coverage of embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, whose confirmation is in question after numerous sexual misconduct allegations from over three decades ago have come to light.
“The media coverage of this has been so one-sided, it has been so biased,” Scarborough claimed, adding the media’s “presumption from the beginning has been that every single allegation made against the judge was true.”
Scarborough then likened what we are seeing with the Kavanaugh confirmation coverage with the general election of 2016. “This is what happened in the run-up to the Trump election. Not even considered the possibility that Donald Trump might win. So they were shocked by it.”
In the eyes of the Morning Joe co-host, the blame for our divided nation falls just not at the feet of the sitting Commander in Chief. That blame is shared by the media.
Scarborough: “Donald Trump divides every day, in a way that is unbecoming of a president, but also because the media has given Donald Trump a massive opening because they have been so one-sided on this story that it allows him to light dynamite and blow the whole thing up”

If the media is complicit in Trump “dividing the country”, that means the media’s behavior shows that Trump was RIGHT ABOUT WHO THE MEDIA IS AND HOW THEY OPERATE.
