""Pompeo Terminates Iran Treaty After UN Court Hands Tehran A Victory In Sanctions Lawsuit Against Washington"" Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Wednesday the U.S. will terminate a 63-year-old treaty with Iran, hours after a top United Nations court ruled in favor of Tehran in a lawsuit challenging U.S. sanctions.
Pompeo said the abrogation of the 1955 Treaty of Amity was 39 years overdue, referring to the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran that resulted in the overthrow of the U.S.-friendly shah.
Until Pompeos announcement, the Treaty of Amity had remained in force even though Washington and Tehran have not had normal diplomatic relations since 1980.

There was NO TREATY!
I do think the terms of Obama’s gift to Iran should be disclosed to the American voters.

Oops, old treaty. What Obama and Kerry did was probably seditious.

You can drop “probably” from that. And add “treasonous”.

Pompeo was a great appointment. I believe he would have accomplished great things at CIA had he stayed there, but at State he’s more visible.

Obama should be prosecuted for the theft .he did not have the legal right to send the money to Iran the 150 billion dollars had been striped from Iran through the legislature at the start of the Iranians taking the embassy hostage.

As much as this Kav CF pains me, and as bad as I feel for his family, as long as it drags on, our side gets more fired up and Pres. Trump can keep doing things under the radar.

I love the smell of Sovereignty.
To: PCPOET7
That isn’t true. Presidents have “agreements” that are like treaties except they are non binding on Congress and future or current president. Think of them as executive orders dealing with diplomatic issues. The big deal in this case is where did Obama get the money to pay off the agreement? Did it need appropriations from Congress or was he raiding the state department funds and budget?

I guess they weren’t listening when Trump told them and the world that we no longer recognized the “world court” as having any validity over us.....those courts can do some polling but their results won’t change anything except depress a bunch of Commie Lefties.
