I was chaperoned on a few dates even going back to high school. Most of the time it was my date’s mother or elder sis.
I just made sure I had presents for the mom or “guard” and I kissed my date’s hand, which always impresses the mom. After that, it was normal.
My grandfather from Naples even told us before he passed away, it was “mandatory” to have an ARMED chaperone back then, from the girl’s side. :)
I predict that the false accusations will now mushroom uncontrollably due to there being no consequences for the accusers. There must be laws made to punish those who choose to ruin other peoples lives falsely.
