The National Council of Churches, a partnership of 38 Christian faith groups in the United States, is urging for Brett Kavanaughs Supreme Court nomination to be withdrawn, citing his temperament and demeanor before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.
Judge Kavanaugh exhibited extreme partisan bias and disrespect towards certain members of the committee and thereby demonstrated that he possesses neither the temperament nor the character essential for a member of the highest court in our nation, read a statement released by the council Wednesday.
Additionally, the group pointed to what the statement described as several misstatements and some outright falsehoods in Kavanaughs testimony. The group argued that although everyone should be honest, its especially critical that someone on the Supreme Court speak truthfully.
Judge Kavanaughs extensive judicial and political record is troubling with regard to issues of voting rights, racial and gender justice, health care, the rights of people with disabilities, and environmental protections, the statement reads. This leads us to believe that he cannot be an impartial justice in cases that are sure to come before him at the Court.
Kavanaugh faces allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women, all of which he has denied. He has previously said he will not be intimidated into withdrawing his name from consideration.
The FBI is expected to deliver lawmakers a supplementary background check on the allegations against Kavanaugh Wednesday evening.

But it’s okay for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, to publicly proclaim it’s the end of the world as we know it, and time to move to New Zealand, with the election of Donald Trump. Does she have the temperment and judgement and character we want to see for a member of the Supreme Court????
And the uber-liberal National Council of Churches can pound sand . . .
National Council of Churches is an anti-Christian Stalinist front which defends totalitarian regimes like Castro’s Cuba.
The National Council of Churches? Wasn’t that formerly known as the National Council of Proctologists?
The National Council of Churches is basically a left wing organization. They have no merit and are far from god.
Despite the name, I'm rather certain that all members are atheists, or agnostics—and most definitely red as Red Square. Nothing is more contemptible than those who use the cover of religion to advance their anti-American agenda.
Bunch of left wing lowlifes and pseudo Christians.
Oh gee... maybe I WILL go back and watch the hearings then.
From what little I saw, Kavenaugh was maintaining his cool beyond measure.... got boring... couldn’t stand to listen to the vomit spewing from all the democrat’s mouths.
Surely there’s a video of Kavenaugh’s greatest moments.
I’ll go look for that.
Ill get over it.
Effeminate pseudo religious Stalinists.
We already know that those commie baboons want to control our judicial branch. It would be better for them to go home and iron some shirts. Otherwise, there are running horses that they can jump in front of at racetracks to emulate their early British peers.
Yet another reason why the National Council of Churches should lose its tax exempt status.
I guess those two Commie Capos, George Soros and Tom Steyer have bought off the churches too.
Same “church group” was pushing gun control recently too. Screw them.
These are the same stupid liberal assholes that love faghotry and everything that blasphemes Christ
Screw them and the limp
Horse they rode in on
almost everything the commies at the NCC want, we know is WRONG (theologically, morally, and politically)
their opposition to this judicial nominee ... only reinforces our conviction that he should be confirmed ASAP.
thank you, NCC!
The rats are coming out of the woodwork. Trump apparently made an excellent choice in Kavanaugh.
Didn’t know that this Marxist bunch of fools still existed, if in name only.
They were an integral part of the Hanoi Lobby’s “religious component” and funneled money, illegally, for the Hanoi Lobby’s congressional action arm, through their tax-exempt status constituent members as well as the NCC itself.
See if you can locate on the internet a report by David Jessups on how the leftist churches/organizations got their tax-exempt money to the various pro-Communist lobbies, “Hanoi Lobby, Cuba Lobby, etc”). About 1982
As far as I am concerned, Kavanaugh has all the right, errr . . . left, enemies.
