If the dems had a 1/3 of a brain and REALLy were interested in “saving the court”, they would have worked a deal with Mitch to confirm Kav with ease and a bunch of lower court judges in exchange for an agreement that the next SC justice will require a 60 vote majority. Knowing that RBG or Breyer can very possibly not be on the court by 2020, a deal like this would have given them some leverage to decide that next pick of Trumps. Now the next pick will guaranteed be just as/if not more constitutional then Kav and the dems will have nothing to defend against it. especially with the odds that they will lose senate seats in November.

My prediction is when RBG or Breyer pass on or retire....Trump takes 12 to 18 months before he announces the replacement. He’ll keep saying he can’t find the right person, grin at the camera, and each week will pass with no nomination.
