It's like clockwork. Every time there is a new talking point, my cousin posts a political opinion that matches the outrage of the day. It nearly matches up to other postings of other Liberals I know. My only question is whether my cousin get paid to post thins nonsense?

I play in a rock cover band and have a wide circle of liberal friends - aged hippies. They are very nice people when the subject is music, but politics turns them into complete a$$holes. I experience the same group think, with identical talking points coming up like clockwork.
My guess as to where they get their marching orders is that they all love the Bill Mahr show and other late night shows that I never watch. Bill Mahr or a celebrity guest will say something and they will all repeat it robotically the next day, word for word. They all nod to each other in agreement and if you argue with them, they have a snarky response at the ready, which has also been provided by Bill Mahr & co.
I no longer visit FB for this reason. I have learned to wriggle out of conversations whenever possible - debating with brainwashed people is pointless.
Every once in a while a liberal claims to be open-minded and if they seem sincere I may give it a shot, but I always regret it - their attempt at open mindedness may be genuine, but at the very first opportunity, they fail miserably.
As Alan Dershowitz puts it, they always fail the “putting the shoe on the other foot” test. They are simply unable to hold Democrat politicians or Leftist celebrities to the same standards as Republicans or conservatives - and they seem totally unaware of their own inconsistencies.

I can relate. My daughter and son in law are late thirty somethings and have totally beer bonged the socialist koolaid. On social media bashing the admin, christianity, anything conservative. My SIL’s bro is particularly rabid. Funny thing is that libs DESPISE paying high taxes themselves and are always moving due to soiling their own nest.
My daughter was never a people person but she met her athiest husband at work (whose whole family was adopted) and it went downhill from there. I’m grateful they’ve decided on no children. My son and his wife are a different story, thankfully.
