Democrat?
Reasoning?
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
North Dakota here. Very risky move on her part. Or.. this is a parting shot as she knows she’s on her way out. Which may be the case.
Nailing the last nail in her own coffin.....
No matter how she votes, she’s going to lose big. Voting no will only double the margin.
What choice does she have? If she votes “no”, the Democrats will find a position for he in D.C. If she votes “yes”, she will be an outcast from the Democrat Party.
[Not so] nice knowing you, heidi.
There’s a pickup.
Ha. I took their poll and told them I’m voting democrat and I’m an independent white girl.
legalinsurrection.com:
Vulnerable Democrat incumbent Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota told a local station that she will vote no on Kavanaugh. This is despite the fact that in a recent poll, 60% of the people in the state want to see him confirmed and she trails her GOP opponent by 10 points.
Party before people.
as far as I can tell, Heidi Heitkamp is the closest thing the democrats had to a sane nationally-prominent elected official. I don’t know how much of what she presents is real and how much is because she only votes democrat when they need her vote, but at least she speaks and acts like a true moderate. Who is left on that (very short) list besides her?
DGARA about what she says is the reason. It is all about abortion.
Been nice knowing you. Live and die by your decision.
“Heitkamp also shared her reasoning behind her decision.”
Democrats can’t reason.
Interesting: no where in the article is Heitkamp’s political affiliation mentioned. Maybe WDAY doesn’t think that’s important.
She is finished as a Senator and she knows it. Now she just needs to secure a Democrat job somewhere. It won’t be as Senator from North Dakota.
Self serving old biddy.
Good help the gop flip the seat
Heitkamp would have no future as a Democratic party politician if she voted for Kavanaugh. She could not win a Democratic primary in her state or any other state state. Of course, the logical solution would be to vote yes and switch parties. But oh well.
If she’s voting no, the fix for her election must be in.
