Stephens used to write a regular column for The Wall Street Journal and was consistently anti-Trump.

The Kavanaugh hearings were so vile that they managed to unite the never-Trump wing of the GOP with Trump's wing. We've seen GW Bush whipping up Senate support and Lindsey Graham turned into a fire-breathing warrior. It's really been something to behold.

We are witnessing the death of the anti-Trump movement within the GOP as former Trump opponents like Graham come on board President Trump's winning team while others like Jeff Flake exit politics in disgrace and cowardice.

That is because Brett Kavanaugh was a superior candidate who transcends the bickering and backbiting of common politicians. Everyone knew he was not only an outstanding jurist but a genuinely good man, great with his family and a tremendous mentor to many women in his life. Those in the know, knew this was an unconscionable assault on a stellar human being for the sake of political power. The Democrats, again showed their true hideous colors, having not the slightest qualm about destroying a human being who is one of the best the nation has to offer. They alone caused the political enmity and division in our nation, they own the hatred by abusing and exploiting this situation. That is why everyone stands with Trump in fighting them.
