Foreign car makers are considering moving more manufacturing to North America from their overseas plants following the recent U.S. trade deal with Canada and Mexico.
Within days of the U.S. and Canada reaching a pact to replace the roughly 25-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement, executives at several foreign car makers said they are considering changes to their supply chains that would shift more auto-parts manufacturing work to the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

To those who have attacked Trump's trade policies, maybe you were wrong???
Maybe some people are just tired of winning.
Conclusion: Obama’s economic magic is still working wonders, even 2 years after he left office.
Alternate conclusion: Clinton’s economic magic is still working wonders, even 18 years after he left office.
Wish Upstate NY was.
Sigh.
We’re enjoying none of this.
We could be enjoying fracking here in NY.
Mew,
Luv UpState have a friend near Rochester, harvest time fruit their is amazing. Love to see you get some work.
The big one in this The Toyota Rav4
Made in Canada, shipped to US, they will cut down on the numbers, so who gets the plant, Buffalo would be great, they could use the shot in the arm.
Funny how PDJT is buddies w/ Japan's Abe and then this deal fell apart and then comes together w/ Canada. You don't think this hasn't already been discussed between POTUS and Abe, I bet it has and I can't wait to see where a Rav4 plant goes...
We could be enjoying a rebirth.
Wish Trump would point that out. I would love to see a pilot program where individual NYS counties could vote to try it Trump’s way. Any counties that did would be free to deregulate, lower taxes, change welfare regs so freeloaders would leave for greener pastures, renegotiate public employee contracts...
FWIW, whenever anything does actually site here it’s with a taxpayer funded bribe. That’s not my idea of MAGA. The system needs to be overhauled, not have special slices carved out for favored cronies.
(/rant)
:-)
I’m not tired of winning!
SO
MUCH
WIN
Lots of New York license plates down here in Pennsylvania working the fields . . .
How will the media spin this to claim its all because of Obama?
“Auto Makers Consider Shifting More Manufacturing to North America”
Really means: Auto Makers Will Now Have to Shift More Manufacturing to North America.
The big tariffs on communist China are the real reason. The new USMCA basically ratchets the back door closed to Chinese parts, that would otherwise bypass the tariffs through Mexico and Canada.
Remember to these Free Traitor North America probably means Mexico. WSJ is the enemy of the working class and everyone knows it.
What are you talking about? You sound like a globalist loon.
BTW, keep it civil.
You’re being held hostage by NYC just like central and southern Illinois is by Chicago. Is there some constitutional procedure whereby a portion of a state could petition to join another due to abject disinterest to the point of hostility on the part of the dominant political forces in that state? The only one bordering you that’s remotely sane is Pennsylvania. There’s precedent in West Virginia.
Didn’t Cuomo say ‘you don’t need an oilwell to fill your car’? What do you expect when Libs are elected.
New York?
Please...... no sane Board of Directors would allow their new plant to open in New York
Yes I was being magnanimous, hoping the best for UpState that someone would recognize the good people and their work ethic. However the politician’s in Albany would scare anyone away.
The Chinese are world champions at lying, stealing, coping others stuff. They are already at work on how to take advantage of the changes Pres DOJ is making. He is aware of how devious the Ch are and is probably anticipating how they will act and creating a game plan for their devious manuvers. GEAUX TRUMP...
